Schools edition
Mental health education your whole school shares.
For superintendents, student wellness leaders and counselors: evidence-based mental health education that builds coping and life skills for the students in the room, the educators who teach them and the families at home. It strengthens the support you already have — it does not replace your counselors.

What it looks like in a school
One film program, a class period at a time, with the same language running through the year. Turnkey: everything is ready to run, and no clinical training is required.

Where it happens
Classrooms, advisory periods, assemblies, staff meetings and family events.
How it fits the school day
Watch together or in chapters, followed by Turn and Talk, guided activities and expert answers.
Who can lead it
Educators, counselors, group leaders or peer leaders with adult support. No clinical training required.
What a license gives your school
Four film programs and everything a teacher needs to run them, in one secure dashboard. Licenses can extend to families at home.

Four film programs
Angst, LIKE, Upstanders and Race to Be Human — each under an hour, licensed on its own or bundled together.
The Learning Journey
A guided path through a whole program: the film, the activities, the expert answers and the quick checks, step by step.
Chapters
The films broken into chapters, each with student prompts for self-reflection and a guided discussion for the class.
Activities
Guided Activities grounded in CBT and the SEL core competencies, aligned with the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) student standards.
Expert answers
Short videos in which experts answer the questions real viewers asked.
Guides and reports
Group leader guides for whoever leads the session, plus engagement reports that show your school’s totals, never one student’s activity.
The four film programs
License separately or bundle together
GiGi, for the adults
Our AI guide has our knowledge base behind it and answers in the moment — a tool for educators, counselors, tutors and parents.
*Included with your license, and with the free demo up to a monthly limit. GiGi is available to every adult in your school community, including teachers and families; your program managers can limit the chat to program managers who sign in. Students on their own use the Today box, never the chat. GiGi is a guide to the toolkit and the topics it covers, not a mental health professional, therapist or crisis service.
The questions a school asks first
Short answers on compliance, access, families at home and planning the year.
Compliance
The CCT complies with applicable COPPA and FERPA requirements and supports schools and libraries in meeting their CIPA obligations.
Access
Students open your school’s link: no accounts and no names. Ages 10 and up take part directly; K–4 through activities an adult leads.
Families at home
Send a link so families can watch and work through the program on their own time.
Help planning the year
Our engagement team will sit down with you and plan how to get the most out of the programs, at any point.
How licensing works
A 24-hour screening license for a single event, a one-month program, or annual and multi-year licenses for a whole school or district. Pricing follows the size of your community, and access can include students, educators and families.
Who helped build it
The programs and activities were shaped with Dr. James Doty of CCARE at Stanford, Seattle Children’s Hospital, the Child Mind Institute, Healthy Minds at the University of Wisconsin and Common Sense — many of whom appear in the films.
Character and life skills
Connection, belonging, trust, help-seeking, resilience and the brain science behind them: practical skills students use in class, at home and well beyond school.
What educators and students said
A Tier I and II support strategy for anxiety, social media, bullying, trust and belonging. We have been doing this with schools in the US and around the world since 2010, in more than 10,000 schools.
95%
of educators think Angst is helpful for kids and teens.
92%
of students intend to practice the tools and tips from The Upstanders.
87%
of educators think Race to Be Human should be required viewing in schools.

“My county serves children of all demographics including those in poverty. The Creative Coping Toolkit (CCT) is not only appropriate but needed because it offers practical tips that are accessible to all. The films help kids understand the brain science behind anxiety symptoms and to be equipped with healthy tools that empower them.”

“What struck me is that we need a cultural shift in our school. I feel like we need to start emulating what we saw in the film — celebrating kindness, rather than consequences for mean behavior.”

Questions schools ask before they buy
Is this a curriculum, or does it sit alongside what we already teach?
It is a program, not a curriculum you have to adopt. Schools run it alongside what they already teach, as Tier 1 and Tier 2 support: a film under an hour, then chapters, guided activities and expert answers across the year.
The guided activities are grounded in CBT and the SEL core competencies, and aligned with the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) student standards.
Does it replace our school counselors?
No. This is mental health education, not clinical treatment or crisis care. It aids and assists your counselors rather than replacing them: students learn to recognize what they are feeling, practice coping skills and ask for help, which is usually what brings them to a counselor sooner rather than later.
How long does it take to set up, and who runs it?
It is turnkey. Everything is ready to run from one secure dashboard, and no clinical training is required. Educators, counselors, group leaders or peer leaders with adult support can lead it, using the group leader guides.
Our engagement team will also sit down with you and plan the year, at any point.
It is not only for class time. Clubs and peer groups run it too, using the peer-to-peer and Turn and Talk activities, guided discussions, and handouts that are both digital and printable, with tools families can use at home.
What do families get?
Licenses can extend to families at home. You send a link, and families can watch the film and work through the program on their own time, so the same language is used in the classroom and in the living room.
