Terms of Use

What the site is for

The site describes our film-based mental health education programs and lets schools, workplaces, organizations and government services find out about them, contact us, book a demo, subscribe to our newsletter and read our blog. It is information about our programs; it is not the programs themselves, and it is not medical, psychological or legal advice.

Nothing on the site is a substitute for the advice of a qualified professional. If you or someone you know is in crisis, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line.

Using the site

You may use the site for its intended purpose: to learn about our programs and to get in touch with us. You agree not to:

• use the site in any way that breaks the law, or that infringes anyone’s rights;
• submit false information through our forms, or impersonate another person or organization;
• send unsolicited advertising or bulk messages through the contact forms, the demo calendar or the chat;
• scrape, harvest or copy the site’s content or contact details by automated means, except as search engines ordinarily do;
• interfere with the site’s operation or security, probe it for vulnerabilities, or place an unreasonable load on it;
• remove or alter any copyright, trademark or other notice on the site.

We may restrict or block access to the site by anyone who breaches these terms.

Our content

The site and everything on it (the text, the design, the photographs and illustrations, the video trailers, the logos, the blog posts and the downloadable documents) belong to Impactful Networks or to the people who licensed them to us, and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. “Impactful Networks”, “Creative Coping Toolkit”, “HeyGiGi” and the names of our films are our trademarks.

You may view the site, print or save pages for your own reference, and share links to it. You may also share our blog posts and downloadable materials with colleagues, parents and students for non-commercial educational purposes, unaltered and with our name on them. Any other copying, republishing or commercial use needs our written permission: hello@impactfulnetworks.com.

Materials that are made available only to licence holders (screening kits, discussion guides, activities and handouts) are for licence holders and remain subject to the licence they came with.

What you send us

When you send us a message, a booking or a newsletter sign-up, you confirm that the information is accurate and that you are entitled to give it. We use it as described in our Privacy Policy. Please do not send us confidential information or information about students, patients or other individuals through the site.

If you send us feedback or suggestions about our programs or the site, you agree that we may use them without any obligation to you.

Third-party services and links

Parts of the site are provided by other companies: the contact forms (SurveySparrow), the demo calendar (Calendly), the newsletter and chat (Brevo), the video players (SproutVideo and YouTube) and the hosting (Cloudflare). Your use of those parts is also subject to those companies’ own terms. We are not responsible for their availability.

The site links to other websites, including cctimpact.com, getgigi.org, impactfulfund.org and documents hosted on Google Docs and Drive, and our resource pages recommend books, apps, websites and videos made by others. We do not control those sites or materials, we do not endorse everything they say, and we are not responsible for their content.

What we do not promise

We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties about the site, express or implied, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, or that its content is complete or current. Descriptions of our programs on the site are for information; what a licence includes is set out in the licence agreement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Impactful Networks and its officers, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the site, even if we have been told such damages are possible. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed one hundred US dollars (US$100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limitations, so some of them may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Your responsibility

You agree to indemnify Impactful Networks against any claim, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to the site or these terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top says when they last changed. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
